My Account online banking

Technical Requirements

1. Do I need any special software or hardware to enable access?
To access MY Account Online, we recommend that you have:

  • A computer which can be connected to the Internet

  • Web browser software (Internet Explorer 5.5 and above, Netscape version
    7.0 and above)

  • A modem to connect to the Internet

  • A connection to an Internet Service Provider (ISP)

2. What type of browser do I need?
For optimal performance, customers should install Internet Explorer version 5.5 and above, or Netscape version 7.0 and above.

Customers, who cannot launch the logon page with older browsers will need to upgrade the browser to a later version.

The latest browser versions are available from the Internet via the links below.

www.microsoft.com
www.netscape.com

IMac customers, with MacOS8 - OS9 systems, we recommend IE5.1.7 for Macs.

For MacOSX10.1, we recommend IE5.2.3 for Macs.

For OSX10.2 systems, the best performance should be obtained with the latest Safari browser. If Internet Explorer versions 5.1 or 5.2 are not performing satisfactorily, we recommend installing and/or using Safari.

Safari is available from the following link.

www.apple.com

3. Are some browsers safer than others?
As we place a high emphasis on security you will need to be using one of the latest browsers that supports 128-bit key encryption (See Technical Requirements point 2) to access MY Account Online. The latest browsers are capable of supporting 128 bit encryption, and will "step-up" to this stronger level of encryption when connecting to a site such as MY Account Online.

4. Who can I call if I have problems accessing the Internet?
Please contact your Internet Service Provider or Systems Administrator

5. What screen resolution should I use for MY Account Online?5. What screen resolution should I use for MY Account Online?
You can use any standard resolution, but the service is best viewed on a resolution of at least 800x600. Using resolutions smaller than this (e.g. 640x480) will result in some portions of the screens not being viewable unless you use the scroll bars. Note: You can change your screen resolution by clicking on the “Display” icon in the Control Panel, and then changing the “Desktop Area” under the “Settings” tab.

6. Should I use a browser that offers a 'Password Manager' feature?
We do not recommend using a ‘Password Manager’ feature that is provided on some browsers, such as Netscape 6 and above, that allows you to save logon details when entering encrypted sites. We strongly advise against using the feature, as it is a potential risk to the security of your personal financial details.

If the feature is enabled, details of your Client Number and password will be captured on the computer’s hard drive. This is of a particular risk to the security of your details if entered on computers that you share, or those you may use in Internet cafes.

Netscape 6.0 has such a feature as a default setting and is therefore not recommended as a browser option for the purpose of MY Account Online with the Anglican Community Fund (Inc).

7. How do I find out my Browser Version?
To find out your browser version, click on the help menu, and then "About Internet Explorer/Netscape". We recommend Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 7.0 or above.

8. My print outs use too much toner. What can I do?
There is a browser option that you can set which will stop the print out from printing the additional formatting and bold lines.
Internet Explorer 5.5 & 6

  • Select "Tools"

  • Select "Internet Options"

  • Select the "Advanced Tab"

  • Scroll to the "Printing" option – "Print background colours and images"

  • Ensure this box is not ticked to reduce the formatting and the print outs will use less toner

  • OK

Netscape 7.0

  • Select "File"

  • Select "Page Set-up"

  • Select the "Format & Options" tab

  • Under "Options" there is a box that says "Print Background (colors and images)"

  • Ensure that this box is not ticked

  • OK
